i saw this band play somewhere on main street in kansas city missouri. the ssion opened for them, dancing on boxes and lip syncing the whole set. then lightning bolt came out, set up their drums, and amplifiers and began playing in the middle of the audience. it was frantic, people were going completely insane. the club was very tiny and over capacity, there was little air circulation, everyone was sweating over eachother. they played the most intense music i've ever heard, it was some hyperspeed prog riff madness, one psychedelic pattern modulating into a new one.
