English performance poet from Salford, Greater Manchester. He is often referred to as the punk poet, since he became known for his energetic performances amidst the late 70's punk scene. Cooper Clarke released half a dozen of albums as well as various singles between 1978 and 1982, often backed by the music of the Invisible Girls.
